"I recorded in the raw vibe of the late 60's - early 70's funk and soul music because of my love for that sound. Most of the Christmas music I listen to is from that era, so I wanted to record an album that married the raw funk sound I love, with my favourite Christmas classics and my own soon-to-be-classic originals. Straight up 1967!"

"It will transport you back to when Christmas was simple, fun, celebrating with friends and family. It's not meant to be a perfect piece. It's meant to be a nostalgic snapshot of family gatherings - decorating the tree and eating a turkey dinner or a hot piece of pumpkin pie with people you love, giving each other gifts, celebrating the true meaning of the christmas season, Jesus' birth - that's what this album is."
